Martina Verić is a new member of Hanfa Board
Martina Verić has been appointed as a new member of the Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa). So far, she has served as the Head of the Funds and Investment Firms Supervision Division at Hanfa, where her knowledge and experience have significantly contributed to the supervision and development of the financial sector.
During her career, she has been involved in numerous regulatory and legislative initiatives with a special focus on pension and investment funds, investment services and crypto-markets. She actively participates in the work of several committees of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), which also greatly contributes to Hanfa's work at international level. She gained her formal education at the Faculty of Science in Zagreb, where she obtained a degree in Financial and Business Mathematics. She also holds the Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF).
Martina Verić will replace the former member of the Board Tomislav Ridzak, who was relieved of his duties at his personal request. Mr Ridzak became a member of the Board in 2018, and during his term of office he has made a significant contribution to the development and strengthening of Hanfa's regulatory role. We would like to sincerely thank him for his many years of cooperation, professionalism and dedicated work.
